James' Flat Stanley in Myanmar!

 Flat Stanley left New York for a trip to the other side of the world, where he visited a country called Myanmar. Myanmar has been in the news a lot recently because it has been changing from a dictatorship (where one leader gets to make all the laws) to a democracy (where everyone gets to vote for the leaders).

Here's a more close-up map of Myanmar. Flat Stanley spent most of his time in two places. First he went to the city of Mawlamyine (towards the south on the map), and then he visited Bagan (more to the north).

While he was in Mawlamyine, Flat Stanley visited a pagoda (which is a kind of temple) called Uzina Paya. He thought it would be funny to take a picture where he looked like he was standing on those two pillars, so that's why he's up in the air like that:

 Flat Stanley found a cat at the pagoda! If you've ever wondered if they have cats all over the world, here's proof:

 Flat Stanley went to Myanmar with a friend of James' uncle Quinton named Sam. Here are a couple of pictures of Flat Stanley at the pagoda with Sam. Fun fact: right before they went to the pagoda, they ate a cricket, because people eat crickets in Myanmar. Sam said it actually tasted pretty good, but he forgot to take a picture.

Rebekah's Flat Stanley in North Carolina!

Rebekah's Flat Stanley has had such a great trip to North Carolina!  Look at all of the fun things he has done!

They went to Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina!  Look at those fancy cars!

Flat Stanley had fun watching the cars race around the track!

 Flat Stanley got to visit the Reed Gold Mine!

This is a plaster model of an 1896 nugget. It was the last large nugget found at the Reed Mine, weighing nearly 23 pounds!

 They went to the Reed Gold Mine and the Thomas Wolfe Memorial!

Flat Stanley has GOLD FEVER!

 Flat Stanley went to see an Aladdin Show at the Levine Center for the Arts!  He loved it!

 Look at all of the animals they saw at the Lazy 5 Ranch!

 They took a hike at the beautiful Crowders Mountain State Park! North Carolina is a beautiful place to hike!

 Flat Stanley had a fun time visiting the Fort Dobbs State Historic Site!  He learned a little bit about North Carolina's history!

 Flat Stanley wasn't just sightseeing!  He went to work at McLaren with Aunt Kim at the Formula One Racing Shop!  Wow Flat Stanley would love to have a job like that!  He had a great day!

 Flat Stanley also spent some time in the wonderful city of Charlotte! It was a great trip to a fantastic state!
