Eddie's Flat Stanley in Fort Kent, Maine
Eddie's Flat Stanley has had a great trip to Fort Kent, Maine! Fort Kent is located at the top of Maine, right along the Maine/Canada border. Fort Kent is a French community, and people here speak both French and English.
Maine is a very large state. Fort Kent is 5 hours from Gorham! If we traveled south from Gorham, we would be in New York, so this should give you an idea how big the state of Maine is!!
When Flat Stanley arrived, it was only -13 degrees! We also have a 20 degree difference in temperature in the winter than the lower part of the state. Brrrr!! Flat Stanley had to wear his heavy winter coat!! The picture below shows the northern part of Route 1, which travels all the way down the US to Key West, Florida!
Flat Stanley is on his way to Boston, Massachusetts!!
