Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a rock structure where concerts have been given since 1906.
At
6,450 feet above sea level, Red Rocks is a unique transitional zone
where the Great Plains meet the Rocky Mountains. Red Rocks Amphitheatre
is a geological phenomenon – the only naturally-occurring,
acoustically perfect amphitheatre in the world. The open-air
amphitheatre has a stage nestled in the perfect acoustic surroundings,
there is a large, tilted, disc-shaped rock behind the stage, a huge
vertical rock angled outwards from stage right, several
large outcrops angled outwards from stage left, seating up to 9,450
people.
