While watching the video below, you can see Flat Stanley at the fence looking at the race track.
Flat Stanley was surprised by all the beautiful rock walls in Lexington, the walls are called “Slave Walls”. Originally build by Irish Immigrant stone masons. The stonemasons passed their crafts on to the black slaves and that is how they got the name slave walls.

Lucy's Flat Stanley in Kentucky!

Lucy’s Flat Stanley came to Lexington, Kentucky to visit Lucy’s Aunt Lisa.  Lexington, Kentucky is 1,022 miles from Lucy’s home in Maine.
Kentucky is very different from Maine!
Flat Stanley loved seeing Keenland (Lexington’s Race Track).  Many famous people come to Keenland from all over the world, including the Queen of England.

Colin's Flat Stanley in the Bahamas!

Colin's Flat Stanley is having a great time in the Bahamas with Colin's Mom and Grandmother! Here are some fun facts:

Grand Bahama is located in the Caribbean, in the Atlantic Ocean and is 62 miles from Florida. 

Bird: West Indian pink flamingo

Automobiles drive on the left side of the road 

National dish: conch

Flower: yellow elder

50,000 people live there and thee main way they make money is tourists. 

It is the northernmost and 4th largest island out of 700 (only 30 islands are inhabited)

Flat Stanley said the water was very warm and beautiful. He wore plenty of sun screen, drank lots of water and brought some sand home from the beach!

Flat Stanley came to visit me and spent some quality time in Florida.

Colin's Flat Stanley in Florida!

Colin's Great Auntie Cecilia Finamore had a great time taking Flat Stanley all around the nice places in Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral, Florida.  Cape Canaveral is where we launch all of our rockets into space! They went to Port Canaveral, where all the big cruise ships go to take people on their vacations, mostly to the Caribbean islands.  They went to Cocoa Beach Pier, home of the east coast's biggest surfing championship! And, speaking of surfing, they went to Ron Jon's surf shop, which is the largest surfing shop in the country--and maybe even the world! Flat Stanley send stickers for everyone! Poor Stanley tried surfing, but he fell off, and had to get taped up.

Abby's Flat Stanley in Massachusetts!

Abby's Flat Stanley had a great time at the Wayside Inn! It was cold, rainy and windy, but Stanley still had fun. These pictures are from Stanley and Abby's Uncle, and they are painted by a local artist! Click here to see more pictures of this historic Inn!

 

Sawyer's Flat Stanley in California!

Flat Stanley is in Irvine, California! He says there is so much to do here: Legoland, Disneyland, parks and more! He got to take a ride to Laguna Beach and Newport Beach, which are close by! Tomorrow...Flat Stanley is going to Los Angeles! 

 

Sawyer's Flat Stanley in Massachusetts!

Flat Stanley arrived safely in Plymouth, Massachusetts at Room-2-Grow Preschool just in time for "S" week. The children enjoyed meeting Flat Stanley and reading the Flat Stanley Book. It was awesome to have Sawyer's Stanley be our Super Star Student during "S"week.
The children even tried to imagine what it might feel like to suddenly be flat as a pancake like Stanley.  Attached you will find a picture of that as well as of the Flat Stanley Book we read and class pictures of our students.

We thought it would be fun for Flat Stanley to see some of Plymouth's historic sites, so we took him on a scenic tour of America's Hometown. We made sure Stanley saw Plymouth Rock, Plimoth Plantation, The Plymouth Museum, and several more historic locations in our community.  Even though it was quite chilly we made sure Stanley had a short visit to our seashore.

Thank you so much for sharing Flat Stanley with us at Room-2-Grow and a special thank you to Sawyer, too. We really enjoyed his visit and it was a special way to make "S" week Stupendous!

Abby's Flat Stanley had a great time at the historic Longfellow Wayside Inn in Sudbury, MA.  It was a cold, windy, and rainy day but we still had a great time!

Sawyer's Flat Stanley in Hollywood, California!!

We hope you and your class are having a wonderful week!  We just wanted to let you know that Sawyer's Flat Stanley just had a nice visit in Hollywood California!  While in Hollywood, Flat Stanley stayed with The Bailey Family – Jon (Dad), Sheryl (Mom), Jacob (Son, Age 8) and Shaylyn (Daughter, Age 4).  As soon as Flat Stanley arrived, Shaylyn brought him out to the pool!  (Pic attached)  It was 80 degrees when Flat Stanley arrived and he was very excited to feel the sunshine and sit by the pool in March!  He played with the family and got to see many fun sights like the Hollywood Sign, the Walk of Stars and Mann’s Chinese Theater as he drove around the city.

Flat Stanley also went to work with Sheryl who is an agent at APA Talent and Literary Agency.  Sheryl works with many talented writers and directors and helps to make children’s shows and movies that many of your students may have seen!  Flat Stanley spent the day at work helping to sell more kid’s shows!

Disney’s Just Roll With It                              Netflix’s Malibu Rescue

 We know Stanley needs to get back to your class by May, so he is making one more stop before coming back to you.  Flat Stanley is headed back across the country and is on his way to historic Plymouth Massachusetts!! (Pics below)  He’ll be visiting Miss Carol’s Room 2 Grow Preschool where the students will be reading FLAT STANLEY and visiting with him during “S Week.”  More pics and info to come once he arrives in Plymouth!
