Will's Flat Stanley travels the globe!

Flat Stanley has landed in Seville, Spain! Stanley's friend Mary Alice wrote us this very kind note and will be sending pictures along shortly:

Hello!  Flat Stanley will be coming back to Maine soon, but has had quite an adventure!  At the end of March I was off to Scotland, so I decided to take Stanley along.  Then my daughter, an 8th grader, had a trip to France.  I got Stanley all ready and what do you know, he just got back from Bordeaux, France!

So when he arrives back in Maine, he will have a nice set of post cards to share, and a card from Paige Butler, my friend in California who sent me Stanley in the first place.

So for the record he has been to:

Seville, Spain

Seville is located in Southern Spain.  It is the 4th largest city and home to almost a million people.  It is a bustling city that is known for flamenco dancing, bull-fighting and delicious food.  One of the favorite ways to eat is tapas, small portions of food.  You can go out and order 3-4 different things with your friends.

Edinburgh and Inverness (Loch Ness area), Scotland

Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and the second largest city.  In this city is the Elephant CafĂ© famous because JK Rowling was inspired to write much of the early Harry Potter novels there.  Stanley also visited Loch Ness, famous for the Loch Ness Monster.

Bordeaux, France

Bordeaux is located in Southwest France.  About 250,000 people live in Bordeaux.  It is most famous for its wine.

Have a good rest of the school year.  I am sure it will be fun to see where each Stanley has been!

Warmly,
Mary Alice
