Mackynzie's Flat Stanley in Maine!

We received a letter and a quiz from Mackynzie's Great-Grammy Norma Verrill in Maine!

 Here is what she said:

I am so pleased to be a part of the Flat Stanley project.  I have traveled to every state in the United States and have found something special about each one, but Maine is and will always be my favorite because we have so many special things here.  Here is a quiz!  Check your answers below!

1. Maine is the largest producer of what fruit in the world?
2. What town in Maine is the blueberry capital of the world?
3.  What ocean dweller is Maine ranked #1 in harvesting in the U.S.?
4. Maine is the only US state that borders 1 other state.  What is the state?
 5.  Maine is the biggest of the 6 New England states.  Can you name the other 5?
6. Maine has the only National Park in New England.  Can you name it?

Here are some other facts for you!  Baxter State Park may not be a National Park, but it is a beautiful park with lots of hiking, wildlife, birds and views for all to enjoy.  Hope you can visit it sometime!
We in Maine are so lucky to have such beautiful fields of wildflowers along our roads and even our highways!  I often ride to Brunswick, Maine, to see all the lupine along the roads.  We have pink, white and purple lupine here in Maine, and it is always so pleasing to the eyes to see them wild and shared by all who travel the roads here in Maine. Many thanks to Mackynzie's Great-Grammy!  Here are the answers to the quiz:

2. Cherryfield, Maine
